David Anderson is a widower of just a few months, with adult children. Eleanor Jenkins is a sixteen year old schoolgirl in the same church. The circumstances which bring them together reveal a maturity beyond Eleanor‘s years. Despite the age gap, a genuine friendship develops between them based on mutual interests and church service. As their friendship continues, they both develop more than just a platonic interest in each other. Eventually, Eleanor‘s parents become aware of their friendship, and tell her in no uncertain terms that she must end it. Now the problems start. Commandment number six states: Honour your father and your mother. The Apostle Paul said that children should obey their parents. What does honour mean? Should the obedience be for ever? Even over matters of the heart? Should Eleanor obey or disobey her parents? For David there is the issue of heart or head. His heart says one thing but his head tell him another. Should he end the friendship? Things need to be resolved, one way or another.
