This book is Volume III of the trilogy: "Travails With Charlie (And Apologies to Steinbeck!)". The current volume contains more stories from my life, including my military and civilian careers and the times afterwards. I invite you to read a bit about my adventures as a Navy helicopter pilot, both in Vietnam and in state-side squadrons. I invite you to read about my other adventures and some of the travails that I experienced during my later careers and civilian life. I have included some of the essays that I wrote, not expecting to be paid but just because I thought that I had something useful to say. Also, there are a few of the analytical efforts for which I did get paid. I've had joys and sorrows, but mostly I've had a wonderful life. After I'm gone and the wind and the sea have taken my ashes away, maybe one of my family members, their descendants, or others will read these stories because they are interested in who I was in those days when I was young and bold and believed that I was bulletproof. When my muse came to me gently in the night and whispered softly in my ear, I woke up and wrote the stories that she told me to tell. Here's the result!
